The Ooni made an open declaration that Jesus Christ is his father, while such statements didn’t get down well with many, some actually praised him for it.

Controversial artiste, Seun Kuti who is the son of late legend, Fela Anikulapo recently blasted the Ooni in a recent interview with Sahara TV.

For Seun, he feels it’s a shame for Ooni to declare Jesus Christ as his father.

Buttressing his point, he of the opinion that after all the rituals the Ooni did before ascending the throne, he shouldn’t mention Jesus as his father.

In his words: “for the Ooni to say he is the son of Jesus is cap over face, Shame! Shame! Shame! Especially after all the rituals he has done to become king of Yoruba people. It is literal when they say to become King in Yoruba land you have to eat the king (the previous king)”
