Rumors coming out of Korea suggests that Samsung is skipping the Galaxy Note 6 and going straight to launching the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 instead.
According to the report, Samsung is concerned that some customers were thinking that the Galaxy Note was an outdated product because it was always one number behind the Galaxy S flagships. Due to this, Samsung is aligning the naming scheme and calling this year’s note, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 instead of Note 6.
Specs wise, rumor has it that the Galaxy Note 7 will have curved edges on both the front and back of the device. A first of it’s kind. The Note 7 will be powered by a snapdragon 823 chipset which is an upgraded version of the powerful Snapdragon 820.
It is also being rumored that the Galaxy Note 7 will be packing a whooping 6GB of RAM and will have an IP certification for the first time. Not forgetting a 4000mAh battery with perhaps, Iris Scanner.
It is being said that Samsung will likely unveil the new Note phablet on the 20th of August, which is when the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was released last year 2015.
As earlier clarified, this is just a rumor coming out of Korea. And as such, it’d be better you take the news with a pinch of salt. A grain of salt if possible.
